Late October, 1875: Rebecca sets out from Budapest on her way to Greece, in order to meet with an old friend and perhaps journey on to the Americas. After taking in the sights and scents of that picturesque city, still reeling from the upheaval of 1872, she alights a steam train which will take her somewhere she could never possibly have anticipated, with a pair of mysterious new travelling companions.
